Heidi Romano is a self-taught, emerging fine art photographer and full time dreamer based in Melbourne, Australia.

Her work challenges the perceptions and expectations we have of our surroundings. Presented in an abstract, minimalist style, her photographs play with ambiguity, becoming a mixture of reality and fantasy while conveying a sense of stillness and isolation to encourage a more lasting visual impression. She investigates fleeting, delicate, transitional spaces, often working with micro-environments that can be found anywhere. Over the last few years Heidi has been featured in various magazines + online journals and her photography is represented in collections around Europe and Australia. She is also the founder and curator of UYW - unless you will - a bimonthly online photography journal.
